My bad. I agree with you that the force needed to keep the work piece in place against the pins without any other hold-down would definitely deform the MDF. Short of going to metal for a fixture plate have you seen other ideas or materials that work and hold precision over time?

Hi, I use these: insert.jpg instead of these: knife inserts.jpg Most of my clamping force is through the board and to the other side of the mdf using the first type. I did get pullout using the other two if a fixture is used very much. I have not had issues with clamping against the 3/8ths dowels bu...

Hi, Solomani here. Jointcam is just the program I had been looking for to do outstanding and easy setups for joints on my machine. This is what I set up for as my fixture.
